HighBet Review

3.4 / 5

Last updated 12 October 2026

Look HighBet up on the big review sites and you'll be told it's run by three different companies, under three different licence numbers. One says ProgressPlay. One says a firm called Time Solutions. One says a Maltese company called SCGO.

Only one of those is right, and the brand's own website settles it in a sentence. That's a fair introduction to HighBet: a better casino than its paperwork trail suggests, with one cashier habit you should know about before your first withdrawal.

Who's running it

HighBet is operated by SCGO Limited, a company registered in Malta (C45929) and licensed in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number 44662. That's stated in the footer of highbet.co.uk, and it matches the Commission's public register, which lists nine trading names on the licence and no regulatory actions of any kind.

The technology underneath is SoftConstruct's — the terms name "Softconstruct IOM" as the technical provider for PayPal payments — which is why HighBet looks and behaves differently from the ProgressPlay and Jumpman casinos elsewhere in our casino section. None of their cashier rules apply here.

Your money on account

This is HighBet's strongest suit. Its terms say customer money is held separately from company money, and that balances under the UK licence are "supported by a bank guarantee" that is secured in case of insolvency. That's the Gambling Commission's medium protection rating — a level above "not protected", which is where a good many UK casinos, including Vegas Wins, sit.

There's no inactivity fee in the terms either. If an account goes quiet for a year, HighBet says it will contact you first and try to send any balance back to your last payment method.

Money out — read this bit

Withdrawals are processed within 48 hours of the request. During those 48 hours the money sits in an "Awaiting Process" box — and you can cancel the withdrawal and put it back into your balance with a single button. After 48 hours it moves to "Processing" and is locked in.

That cancel button is a known trap. Two days is a long time to look at money you've already decided to take home, and the button exists to make playing it back easy. Request the withdrawal, then log out and leave it alone for two days. Better still, set a deposit limit so the temptation never arrives.

Beyond that, the picture is less clear than we'd like. The help centre says payout times "differ between payment methods" and asks you to check "the above allocated times" — but no table of times appears on the page. And the terms reserve the right to charge a fee on withdrawals that "vary according to the payment method", without saying what those fees are. We couldn't find a fee schedule anywhere on the site, and a right to charge a fee you can't see in advance is worth knowing about.

Two practical notes from the same help pages: several cashout requests made to the same method within 24 hours may be combined into one payment, and HighBet currently reports technical problems with NatWest, Wise and Suits debit cards for both deposits and withdrawals. If you bank with one of those, deposit with something else.

Payment methods listed are Visa and Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Skrill, Neteller, PayPal and others. One small housekeeping point: the FAQ still files cards under "credit and debit cards". Credit cards can't legally be used for gambling in Great Britain, and haven't been since 2020 — use a debit card.

Support

HighBet's contact page says its support team is available 24/7, by live chat and email. Complaints are acknowledged within 24 hours, with a target of fifteen working days to resolve, and anything unresolved after eight weeks can go to IBAS, the independent adjudicator.

The games, and the bingo

HighBet is a full casino and sportsbook: slots, Megaways, jackpots, live casino, roulette, baccarat and table games, crash games, scratchcards and a fishing-games section, plus sports, racing and esports betting.

It also has a "Bingo" section, and it's honest about what's in it: video bingo, Slingo and bingo-themed slots — single-player games where "numbers are drawn automatically" and there's "no waiting for callers". That's a perfectly good way to spend ten minutes, but it isn't bingo in the sense our readers usually mean: no rooms, no chat, no shared jackpots, no other players. For that, see our best bingo sites or our guide to Slingo sites.

The welcome offer is one of the cleaner ones we've read: deposit and stake on slots, receive a batch of spins, and anything you win from them is paid as cash with no wagering. The catches are small but real — it's debit card only, the qualifying stake has to happen on the same day as the deposit, and you choose either the casino or the sports welcome offer, not both. We keep the figures out of our copy because they change; the verified current terms render beside this review.

What we like

  • A clean record — no regulatory action against the licensee on the Gambling Commission register
  • Customer funds at medium protection, backed by a bank guarantee
  • Support around the clock by live chat and email
  • A no-wagering welcome offer, with winnings paid as cash
  • No inactivity fee
  • A wide casino, live casino and sportsbook under one login
  • Independent dispute resolution through IBAS

Worth knowing before you join

  • Withdrawals can be cancelled and played back for 48 hours after you request them
  • The terms reserve the right to charge withdrawal fees by payment method, without publishing them
  • No published timetable for when each payment method actually pays out
  • NatWest, Wise and Suits debit cards are currently having problems with deposits and withdrawals
  • The "Bingo" section is video bingo and Slingo — no rooms, no chat
  • The welcome offer needs a debit card, and the qualifying stake must be on the same day

HighBet, briefly answered

Who owns HighBet?

SCGO Limited, registered in Malta, licensed in Great Britain under Gambling Commission account number 44662. Some review sites name other companies; HighBet's own footer and the Commission's register both say SCGO.

How long do HighBet withdrawals take?

Up to 48 hours to process, then a time that depends on the payment method. HighBet doesn't publish a per-method timetable.

Can I cancel a HighBet withdrawal?

Yes, for the first 48 hours, from the "Awaiting Process" box in the cashier. We'd suggest you don't — leave it to process.

Does HighBet charge to withdraw?

Its terms reserve the right to charge fees that vary by payment method, but don't list them. Check in the cashier before you confirm a withdrawal.

Does HighBet have bingo?

It has video bingo and Slingo games, which are single-player. There are no live bingo rooms.

Is my money protected at HighBet?

Yes, at the Gambling Commission's "medium" level: held separately from company funds and backed by a bank guarantee in case of insolvency.

The verdict

HighBet is a well-stocked casino and sportsbook from a licensee with a spotless public record, a bank guarantee behind your balance, round-the-clock support and one of the fairer welcome offers we've seen. On trust, it's the strongest casino in this section.

The cashier is where it loses ground: a 48-hour window in which your own withdrawal can be reversed, a reserved right to fees nobody has published, and no clear statement of how long each method takes. None of that is unusual in the industry, but it's exactly where our rating puts the most weight.

Play it with a deposit limit set, request withdrawals and walk away, and avoid NatWest or Wise cards for now. If it's real bingo rooms you want, start at best bingo sites instead.
